Name: Merit Lindén

Age: 44

Home: in Helsinki, Finland

Love: Makeup, cats, food, sleeping, knitting, music, books, harmony, surprises, fireworks

Hate: Selfishness, bad food, indifference, cold if you're not warm

Skintype:

Dry combination skin. Large pores on my nose, medium on forehead and small on cheeks and chin. Large hyper pigmentation on my forehead and smaller ones on cheeks. Redness beside my nose, sometimes on chin too. Eczema on my eyelids, neck and sometimes on my lips too.

Makeup struggles:

Makeup tends to melt away from my nose very easily and break down from the sides of my nose. During the day the texture on my skin becomes more visible. Cheeks are so dry, that they can get too dry during the day. Also under eye area gets really crusty during the day. Watery eyes, so eyeshadow can disappear in just minutes. Mascara tends to smudge no matter what.

Strong features:

My skin is in great condition and makes me look younger than I am. Even though my eyes are strongly hooded, they give slightly mesmerizing gaze. I love my cheekbones and fair skin tone. My eyebrows have good shape and doesn't need much attention.

I do not have any sponsorships and all the products I review or use are chosen by me. If something is sent to me or I got it as pr, I will mark the item with *. Reviewing products is my job now, so I receive quite a lot of products. That doesn't affect to my opinion. Before reviewing or recommending I will use products for at least two weeks to really test its pros and cons unless I state that I've used it only few times or that this is first impression. Some links are affiliate links. All of them are marked with *. Feel free to use them and support my channel or shop through another way. I try to find links for Finnish residents and for online store that ship widely all over the world.

I love everyday makeup, because it makes me feel good at work, gives a little extra energy on a hard day and makes me feel ready for whatever is coming next. Of course there's a place for some luxury and pampering every now and then. My principle is, that the makeup in which you feel good and suites your lifestyle is the right one. There's no point in learning complicated contouring or eye makeup if you're hardly willing to put your mascara on. There's no rules or have-to-do's in makeup.

"Confidence is the best makeup in every situation."

My main principle is to present products and techniques I use in my everyday life. That is why many product pictures are from used ones. I'm not a makeup collector even thought I do have more than my share.  I love to try new things for you, but I want to do it properly. If I give you my recommendations, you can be sure that I really mean that. I don't see a point in just hauling things and having a makeup collection. That is why I really take my time to do research of which items I want to purchase. That doesn't mean that everything must be prizy and high end. There's loads of excellent products in drugstores as well. Most of us don't have a big budget to get all the lovely things we would want, so my mission is to find the ones worth investing in.

Many blogs and YouTube channels seem to give you an impression, that you need a lot of products in your drawer and it takes at least half an hour to put your makeup on every morning. If that is what you like to do - go for it. I do it sometimes myself too. I just want to give new ideas also to those, who want to spend just few minutes to her makeup.

On my blog (and oncoming YouTube channel) my target group is women at their 40s or older. I realized that there really isn't much for them now. But beauty is universal. It doesn't make any difference wether you're younger or older, have fair or deeper skin tone, live in warmer or colder climate or have massive or tight budget to spend on beauty. We all want to look our best and I want to help you to achieve that!

The merit of beauty is you!
